As far as unlocks go you start with one ship that has three abilities but only the first is unlocked. You unlock the other abilities with xp gained during runs (these unlocked abilities can then be found by other ships you use during future runs). You also unlock different versions of 8 different ships during runs (there are multiple different versions ships with different possible starting weapons and abilities. There are also weapons you find and unlock during runs. If your on the fence it’s an unlock/progression dream. djstout, Anotherkellydown and Rocksaint like this. But it's not quite clear which among those are permanent unlocks. Or maybe all that you mentioned are indeed the permanent unlocks? Donkeygrave Active Member Feb 28, 2013 33 28 18 #7 Donkeygrave, Jan 6, 2020 They are permanent. One of the schemes says says hold and drag and implies it’s both sides of screen But it’s only on the right. Honestly not thrilled with the controls but it would be better if it indeed allowed you to drag on either side. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #13 metalcasket, Jan 7, 2020 The two handed scheme? Should be hold and drag on one side of the screen, and the other side is used for tapping (activating your heavy weapon's attack). EDIT: Gameplay video added to the OP! anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 2,998 600 113 #14 anthony78, Jan 7, 2020 No, the one touch screen. Hold and drag. Release drag or tap for heavy attack. Clearly does not mention one side of the screen like the two touch one does. I can read. I love the game mechanics the pixelart the music and i am already 2hrs in. It's one of those ''one more try'' but the controls could de better. Imo it needs a sensitivity slider in both modes (one/two touch), because as of now i have to move my finger on the half of my XS screen in order to catch the max speed. In the 2 touch mode the heavy weapon doesn't register precisely all the times also. Here maybe a solution could be to keep all the screen for steering and add 2 small buttons for heavy attack and boost. As i said before is a fantastic game already! metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #19 metalcasket, Jan 7, 2020 Welp, this escalated in a hurry. Anyway, the controls definitely shouldn’t function like that. I can confirm that I can play with either hand with the one handed scheme. Also, it’s crazy how seemingly every time there’s a Barrett release, the controls are the first thing people bring up. I’m not having any problems whatsoever and can give folks one piece of advice: If things feel wrong, trust me when I say you’ll get a proper feel for the controls once you’re a little stronger. Give it time to sink in, and don’t assume you should be playing this like you would Immortal Rogue. sebgo and Foolish Mortal like this.
