The slightest over-swipe and your ship is all over the place, including the walls (walls are bad). Great looking game but it’s lacking Game Center for comparing scores. I’m still enjoying it, but man, you really have to be careful when moving. And again, seems a little lacking because the scoring is limited to local only. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,718 514 113 England #3 psj3809, Nov 8, 2023 Thanks may give this a go. Looks like an advanced Thrust type of game and I don’t care for game centre so I’m all good Anotherkellydown Moderator Staff Member Patreon Bronze Feb 10, 2014 4,319 997 113 Male CAD Technician I Upstate NY https://youtube.com/channel/UCcvu9xhE7xT-mZrXUZQJr5g #4 Anotherkellydown, Nov 9, 2023 Cool! The pixel art is tiny but really great. Another note on movement: just little nudges in the desired direction helped me a lot. My current high score is a mere 1,332. I haven’t even completed one large area yet. I was almost to the locked door at the end of the first stage but got lambasted by the enemies lining the floor and ceiling. elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 513 367 63 #5 elcrazy, Nov 9, 2023 This actually looks quite good from the video on the App Store. Is it fun to play? Lots of weapons? Any upgrading between rounds? Looks pretty action packed from video. elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 513 367 63 #6 elcrazy, Nov 9, 2023 Found this. No campaign or something like that? Combat is a lot of dodging enemy bullets then coming in for the kill. The laser seems to have infinite ammo and the aiming is done with the right side, with movement on the left (be gentle, and turn sensitivity way down). Gravity is slightly at play here, very slowly pulling you down. Just be careful of the floors and walls. You have to get the key in the middle of the map and then make it to the other end to complete the stage. After that, I’m not sure what happens because I died right at the end of the first level. As far as the scoring, it just seems to stress the score by actually showing “high score” after the run. And having Game Center just seems logical and it’s a good motivator for me. Glad you guys are interested! Seems to be their first game on the App Store. anthony78 likes this. addink Well-Known Member Apr 24, 2013 74 12 8 #9 addink, Nov 9, 2023 Love the game (I generally like gravity games). It features an imaginative diversity of opponents, the controls are odd but easy enough to master. However, it is short, once you destroy the reactor, you are presented with a ‘mission complete’ message. And that’s it. I think the game could be extended quite a bit without requiring a lot of work for the dev. The aforementioned Thrust was relatively short too, but it pulled a clever trick at the end of the last level. You got to continue the game restarting at the first level but now with the gravity inverted and slightly more aggressive turrets.. that added a lot of game play, without requiring new levels, or much code. I’d love to see that here. Could even opt increase the gravity in the 3rd and later turns/levels. Given that I finished the game with a score of 4384 points (normal difficulty), the game even seems to suggest it could be a lot longer by displaying it as 004384… Still in its current short form I really enjoyed it Anotherkellydown likes this. Seems to happen when I die or get near the end of the level. I haven’t noticed it happening much on normal, but when you die on easy, it seems to happen when it’s trying to restart your next ship. addink Well-Known Member Apr 24, 2013 74 12 8 #11 addink, Nov 9, 2023 Yep, exactly as you described: on easy: second time I died: crash (iPad Pro 2017, iPadOS 16.7) Have not experienced that on normal. - small surprise once I started playing on hard: the game mentions requiring better navigation skills, but what that translates to is: no map. That indeed will lengthen the time required to finish te game Anotherkellydown likes this. I mentioned the game crashes when loading your next life. This game is even better than I originally thought. Once I switched over to normal difficulty and played on the iPad mini I got to the next sector (after the key door). And, not to spoil anything, your laser isn’t the only primary weapon you can get. And now I don’t know exactly how long this level actually is. I was thinking the unlocked door was the end, but boy was I wrong. The graphics really pop on the mini 6. Loving this one, not liking the crashes (but as long as I don’t pick up an extra life I’m fine - and I noticed it doesn’t always crash when losing the next life). Was originally playing on medium. Will go back to that. There is a huge difference. It is a bit short. Wish there was more levels. Even auto generated levels to keep continuing. On Easy and Normal you get multiple lives and if you die you continue roughly at the same spot. you’ll have use of the map that indicates where you need to go, and also it doubles as a radar. On Hard you have only one life, no map/radar, and damage is increased (some rockets are even insta-kill :/ All these things combined makes it truly hard (for me at least, still fun though ) - general comments in addition to my earlier posts: The level is randomly generated every time a new game is started, there are parts that are roughly the same each time (especially at the start the cave is the same shape every time) The placement of the enemies and crystals vary each go. elcrazy likes this.
